TOC PA Fellowship Curriculum

Our PA Fellowship program is 14 months in duration with an additional 4 weeks of pre-fellowship training for onboarding and credentials.  This is secondary to an overlap in duties during the Emergency Room Orthopedics Rotation and the individual clinics.  Each Fellow will participate in a diversified training regimen of orthopedic specialty rotations to include:

  • Orthopedic Fundamentals
  • Certificate of Additional Qualifications
  • Orthopedic Trauma
  • Pediatric Surgery
  • Sports Medicine
  • Hand Surgery
  • Foot and Ankle
  • Spine Surgery
  • Pain Management
  • Joint Revision and Arthroplasty

What is the governing accreditation body for your PA Fellowship program?

  • This program is not yet approved for CME credit. We have applied for 65 AAPA Category 1 CME credits from the AAPA Review Panel. The total number of approved credits is yet to be determined.

What is the application cycle for the PA Fellowship?

  • The application cycle for September 2024-2025 will open April 1 – May 10, 2024.

Where is the TOC PA Fellowship located?

  • TOC is located in the beautiful city of Tallahassee, Florida. Home of both Florida State University and FAMU — just minutes away from the Gulf of Mexico and the rolling hills of South Georgia.

What is the length of the PA Fellowship program?

  • The TOC PA Orthopedic Surgery fellowship is a 14 month long opportunity, focused on intensive development of the new graduate Physician Assistant fellow. Utilizing a multi-faceted team approach, each Fellow will become immersed in the global experiences of orthopedic surgery.

Obtaining first-hand experience in outpatient clinical settings, emergency department evaluation and management of orthopedic injuries, first assisting in the operating room, performing inpatient rounds and management of post-operative patient, mastering injection techniques, and sports medicine athletic team coverage.
