Functional Improvements Utilizing the Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB) after Epidural Steroid Injections (2019)

Older adults suffering from low back pain are often treated with medication management, but it is unclear if medications can assist in restoring a patient’s function by reducing pain. Lumbar epidural steroid injections improved patient function and pain to a greater extent than medication management in the cohort.
